I wanted to thank you for responding to my inquiry of the Velvet Remi Abella Wave weave; however, you mentioned that it is best not to wet it. Are you saying that the hair will not act or appear the same once it is washed? I usually wear my sewn in weaves for 2 months and I usually wash my hair 3-4 times within that time frame. If this is the case, are you suggesting that this weave is not a good idea for me to use? Also when you mention braiding it up at night, Do you mean 3-6 plaits or 3-6 cornrows?

Thank you for your inquiry. There are of course times when you need to wash your hair. This type of hair can be wet, but from experience when most hair is wet it has more of a chance to get frizzy. Also many say that braiding your hair in a few braids AKA plats, individuals etc. will cut down on tangling and your hair getting fizzy over night. Remember to tie it up or wear a cap/bonnet. I’ve had your straighter textures before and they were really good and easy to maintain. What is the upkeep or maintenance with the texture Remi Abella Wave Weaving and the Remi Spanish Wave Weaving? Due to it being wavy, will I experience a lot of tangles?

Velvet Remi Abella Wave Weaving and Remi Spanish Wave Weaving are both great selections. The upkeep would be different, it is best not to wet it. Use wide tooth combs when you need to comb it. Use products for this type of hair. At night do tie up your hair with a scarf or cap. It has also been suggested to braid the hair in 3 – 6 braids to keep it from getting frizzy and tangled at night.

Outre Velvet Remi European Body Weaving
Can rollers or curling irons be used on Velvet Remi European Body Weaving? Does the natural wave in the change due to washing or curling?

Remi European Body Weaving is an excellent choice. It features a loose curl for that natural everyday wear to a night on the town. It can be flat ironed straight and curled. If wet with a product for human hair it will go back to its original loose curl, so it can be washed if needed. Make sure to follow proper maintenance. It is always suggested to ask your beautician what they think as well.

I have been wearing sew-ins for the past year now. The only brand that I prefer to purchase was Saga Remi, however with the several last purchases of the hair I’ve been having problems. Every time that I comb the hair, starting from the ends, hair comes out of the track. It’s more than a little bit more of shedding, also the hair gets frizzy minutes after I comb it out. I don’t know whats the problem. I thought it was the store and then I thought it was the person who I was letting to sew it in but it wasn’t. I have purchased Velvet Remy before and I don’t remember these issues. However I was wondering what might you think the problem is?

There are surely times when you find you may need to wash your hair. When you do wash it you can use your favorite shampoo. When you wash your hair gently run your fingers through the middle of the tracks. Do more rubbing not scratching. Make sure to thoroughly rinse the soap from your hair. If you have a net/cap or just tracks you can still get a good wash. Its always good to follow with a good conditioner. Leave in conditioner works great. Most beauty supplies have many products for human hair that will make the hair curly. It just depends on the look you want. One product that comes to mind is Wet by Paul Mitchel. I like it but I use a variety of products for use on human and synthetic hair. Though note that the curls should not fall out just because you wet/wash it.
Also, from personal experience after washing my hair my scalp can feel kind of dry. I use thin hair oils that can be applied between the tracks with a dropper or squeeze bottle which also can be found at most local beauty supplies. From my personal experience it depends on the style and hair dresser. While you may not use two full packs sometimes you find you may need a few extra pieces from a second pack. Some hair dressers are very skilled at their craft so if your hair dresser knowing the style that you desire, and suggest one pack then go for it. However having a little extra never hurts.
