Mixed Roots Curl Pudding

Great for all hair types.

Curls curls, and more curls. I love this stuff. When I first tried it I must admit I was skeptical. However after the first use I saw right away that it works great. My hair is permed so when I use Mixed Roots Curl Pudding it made my natural hair nice and curly.

When every I get a curly weave and I leave some hair out in the front, I always have to make sure I have some Curl Pudding at home. Its one of my favorite tools for helping my hair to blend with my weave.

First I take the hair that is left out and comb some curl pudding through it. Then depending on how wavy I want my hair to look I will make small or medium sized twist with the hair left out. I always start by braiding at the root a few strokes then continue and finish with twisting. Then I put some more Curl Pudding towards the ends of my hair. This way the waves will start at the root and the twist will give it that loose wavy curl I’m looking for. After my hair dries i carefully pull the twist apart and I’ve got hair that matches my full head curly weave. I love this stuff and you will to. Works great on synthetic and human hair.

Unruly Hair Got You Beat? Try Mixed Chicks Line of Products.

Tired of unruly hair? Try Mixed Chicks line of products. Great with all hair types.

Having trouble getting your hair to behave? Do you have hair that tends to get tangled or stubborn curls with that unruly frizz? Does your hair seem to resist gels and leave-in conditioners? Well its time to try something new. If you have not already heard about it, Mixed Chicks has a great line of products that can benefit all hair types from curly to straight. The reviews tell that this line of products work great on hair of all ethnic types but will really give your wavy or curly hair the life its been looking for.

My niece is African American and Vietnamese. She has the softest light brown curly hair but it is so hard to maintain. It would always be a chore washing her hair because afterward came the wild tangles and the stubborn curls. Let’s not even talk about after blow drying it because next would be the revenge of the frizz.

My sister and I tried several products. At one point my sister even considered some sort of light perm or texturizer. We knew that wasn’t really the best idea so we kept searching. Through our trials, errors and research we discovered that your hair thrives when it is properly moisturized. There are many hair products that claim to do just that but if you want a product that benefit the wellness of your hair and makes it look great at the same time while giving you the control you need, try Mixed Chicks hair products.

We used the whole product line from the gentle clarifying shampoo and detangling deep conditioner to the gloss and shinning Hair Silk.  We started with the suggested trio that is the MIXED CHICKS 10oz shampoo, MIXED CHICKS 8oz deep conditioner and the MIXED CHICKS 10oz leave-in conditioner. Now my niece has the cutest bouncy curls. Her hair was wild now it’s got style. Thanks Mixed Chicks.

I cut my hair way too short. Help! What can I do?

I cut my hair WAY to short. How can I fix this? What about extensions?
My hair is now only a little bit less than an inch all over.
- Please Help

Wigs and hair extensions are an inexpensive and excellent way to remedy the “I cut my hair too short, HELP” syndrome.
Wigs have come a very long way. They have improved in quality and styling incredibly. The majority of people who buy wigs and extensions are in the film, visual arts and TV industry. As a matter of fact, almost no one uses their own hairs on movies or auditions anymore.

Tips on Blending Your Hair With A Weave

When you get a full head weave and hair is left out in the front for a more natural look, there are a few ways to style it so that it will blend with the hair weaved in. It is somewhat easier to blend your hair with straight weaves. That is when a flat iron or curling iron can become useful.

When I first started getting weaves it seemed easier going with straight hair then I found that I was flat-ironing or curling my hair everyday. Lately I’ve been into curlier styles. I like to use Sensationnel Goddess Remi Deep Weaving and Sensationnel Goddess Remi French Weaving if I want a natural curly or wavy look. I found that it was a lot easier blending my hair with these styles without the daily dose of heat I was subjecting my hair to.  Below are a few easy techniques that I use to blend my hair with a wavy or curly weave. I have another more involved technique that I will share in an upcoming post.

  • If it is a style with big curls I can just pull out my hot curlers or use rollers to curl my own hair.
  • When I use weave with tight curls I wet set my hair with rollers small enough to wrap my hair around like rods (sponge rollers are not suggested).
  • Deep wave weaves are the easiest to blend with. I would twist my hair with some leave in conditioner and let it dry naturally. Take your hair in sections that are big for loose curls and smaller for tighter curls. When it is taken down it has a nice natural deep wavy curl to it that holds its shape.
  • For a more crimped wavy look you can use crimp irons or the kind of rollers made for crimping (found at most beauty supply stores). For a more natural look just braid sections of hair bigger or smaller depending on how deep you want the crimp to be. Use a good leave in conditioner or a setting lotion. Leave in conditioner usually yields the best results for me. Let it dry naturally or help it a bit with a blow dryer. After it is completely dry gently undo the braid and you have naturally crimped hair.

What is the difference between Outre Remi Silky and Outre Remi Yaki?

What is the difference between Outre Remi Silky and Outre Remi Yaki?
- Arielle

Outre Remi Silky and Outre Remi Yaki are both great choices. The Remi Silky is straight silky like hair. The Yaki is made to be like what ethnic permed or pressed hair would look like, however it still has a silkness to it.
